ASCE Testifies Before Two House Committees

As a nationally recognized authority on infrastructure issues, ASCE leaders testified before two Congressional Committees to help shape infrastructure investment pieces to be included in economic recovery and job creation legislation being considered by the U.S. Congress. ASCE President David G. Mongan, P.E., F.ASCE, will testify before the House Ways and Means Committee and Andrew Herrmann, P.E., F.ASCE, SECB, Chairman of ASCE's 2009 Report Card Advisory Council, will testify before the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Both ASCE witnesses will present lawmakers with the nation's infrastructure funding needs identified in ASCE's 2005 Report Card for America's Infrastructure.
